59 Chevy Truck Ignition Switch Wiring Diagram

It is good from a full stop but when I go approaching turns upon onto highway ramps, behind I depress the accellarator (sp?) it hesitates for 2 seconds since reving up. I ve taken it to a mechanic and he says it is normal. I have an 2003 Avalon later the similar engine and it jumps off the start and has no hesitation. I bought it in July, drove it house from LA (to Utah), and the problems started unexpectedly after I got it home.Any new help you can manage to pay for is appreciated.
