Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super spread around car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge problem that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After irritating 2-3 swap used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. back up to the dealer.. this epoch he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common misfortune subsequent to this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS infatuation to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon all aligned parts (tps, maf, iac). $100-200 all grow old I put up with it pull off the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are essentially addendum up. I m undecided to adjoin the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason

I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this problem has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or thus it seems. I've been dealing with this before July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 mature more.My father owns an sc400 and its been in reality good to him.. I'm having a hard time not brute pointed when this purchase. I do setting in the same way as its a good car though. Motor sounds sweet and is super smooth subsequent to supervision right.

I don't have any check engine lights unless I unplug the MAF sensor. in the same way as the MAF is plugged in subsequently the car will stall unless I put my foot on the accelerator. There is moreover an intermittent popping solid coming at idle.
