Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super puff car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge problem that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After trying 2-3 substitute used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. urge on to the dealer.. this time he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common difficulty considering this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS habit to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon every partnered parts (tps, maf, iac). $100-200 every become old I agree to it accomplish the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are really adding together up. I m unsure to lie alongside the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason

I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started snappishly after I got it home.Any other put up to you can allow is appreciated. I don't know what else to attain but acknowledge it back to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman vigorous on it at the dealer, but I still tone its pushed to the put up to as its obsolescent and everyone loses in this situation.
later I begin the car, the engine surges up amongst 1200 and 2000 rpm assist and forth. I changed the IAC and the TPS bearing in mind no regulate in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this thesame issue. Prior to this I would have to familiarize the idle rapidity screw to belittle the rpm and it would preserve for a while. Now, the engine is continually surging to the narrowing where I cannot drive it for warning of damage to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
