Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super make known car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge suffering that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After grating 2-3 rotate used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. back to the dealer.. this times he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common misfortune taking into account this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS habit to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on all linked parts (tps, maf, iac). $100-200 all get older I resign yourself to it attain the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are truly adding up. I m in two minds to adjoin the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason

I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this trouble has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or therefore it seems. I've been dealing like this past July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 mature more.My dad owns an sc400 and its been in point of fact fine to him.. I'm having a hard epoch not bodily critical in imitation of this purchase. I complete character when its a fine car though. Motor sounds gorgeous and is super serene as soon as meting out right.
Hello the TPS does have an effect upon switching the car into idle mode for that reason I'd recommend to make positive the throttle plate is 100% closed and not slightly grounded bearing in mind carbon. and subsequently adapt the TPS so that the IDL stick is continuous to the E2 pin taking into account the throttle is closed, and entry circuit following the throttle is just cracked. Don't worry more or less any voltages, the IDL read is the in fact important one.
