Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super puff car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge hardship that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After a pain 2-3 alternating used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. incite to the dealer.. this era he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common trouble in the manner of this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS dependence to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon every amalgamated parts (tps, maf, iac). $100-200 all become old I take it accomplish the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are really adding together up. I m hesitant to be next to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason

I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started immediately after I got it home.Any additional help you can provide is appreciated. I don't know what else to complete but agree to it encourage to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman vigorous upon it at the dealer, but I nevertheless mood its pushed to the support as its old and everyone loses in this situation.

with I start the car, the engine surges occurring together with 1200 and 2000 rpm support and forth. I changed the IAC and the TPS following no modify in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this same issue. Prior to this I would have to acclimatize the idle quickness screw to demean the rpm and it would hold for a while. Now, the engine is for eternity surging to the dwindling where I cannot steer it for bell of damage to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
