Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super make known car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge misfortune that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After trying 2-3 alternative used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. help to the dealer.. this time he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common hardship afterward this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS compulsion to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon all aligned parts (tps, maf, iac). $100-200 every times I take it attain the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are in reality appendage up. I m undecided to be next to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason

I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started rapidly after I got it home.Any other help you can offer is appreciated. I don't know what else to pull off but take it help to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman in action on it at the dealer, but I yet tone its pushed to the back as its old and everyone loses in this situation.

I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this similar issue. Prior to this I would have to adapt the idle speed screw to belittle the rpm and it would withhold for a while. Now, the engine is constantly surging to the tapering off where I cannot steer it for distress signal of damage to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
