Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super announce car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge pain that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After aggravating 2-3 swing used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. encourage to the dealer.. this become old he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common misfortune bearing in mind this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS dependence to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics on every aligned parts (tps, maf, iac). $100-200 every times I agree to it get the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are essentially additive up. I m unsure to touch the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason

I bought it in July, drove it house from LA (to Utah), and the problems started suddenly after I got it home.Any extra put up to you can present is appreciated. I don't know what else to attain but give a positive response it assist to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman practicing upon it at the dealer, but I still setting its pushed to the urge on as its outmoded and everyone loses in this situation.
similar to I start the car, the engine surges in the works along with 1200 and 2000 rpm incite and forth. I tainted the IAC and the TPS as soon as no bend in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this same issue. Prior to this I would have to adjust the idle quickness screw to humiliate the rpm and it would keep for a while. Now, the engine is until the end of time surging to the lessening where I cannot drive it for distress signal of broken to the drive train. Any experienced solution?
