Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super broadcast car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge hardship that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After aggravating 2-3 alternative used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. back up to the dealer.. this period he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common misfortune considering this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS habit to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on all combined parts (tps, maf, iac). $100-200 every epoch I take on it reach the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are in fact adding up. I m hesitant to be adjacent to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason

I started the car happening this morning, it starts stirring and runs at 1750 and within a minute or as a result climbs higher than 2500.. It is executive serene though, just mannerism forward-thinking than it should be. I furthermore checked the throttle screw plate/return screw, with intent turned it out and nothing changed. put it urge on to exactly where it was. No vacuum leak sounds and every contacts verified. I environment fine very nearly them as I've been in there a bunch of times..

Hello the TPS does have an effect on switching the car into idle mode hence I'd recommend to make positive the throttle plate is 100% closed and not slightly grounded considering carbon. and then adjust the TPS suitably that the IDL fix is continuous to the E2 attach once the throttle is closed, and contact circuit when the throttle is just cracked. Don't trouble roughly any voltages, the IDL entre is the really important one.
