I have a 2004 ES330 as soon as a hestitation problem. It is fine from a full stop but past I go on turns on onto highway ramps, past I sadden the accellarator (sp?) it hesitates for 2 seconds before reving up. I ve taken it to a mechanic and he says it is normal. I have an 2003 Avalon later the thesame engine and it jumps off the start and has no hesitation. Checked for contacts in the intake. considering I put my Turbo OBDII app on, all seems good except that the TPS stays constant a propos 30%. This is a drive-by-wire model therefore it has not throttle cable or usual TPS. I acknowledge the TPS is integrated considering the throttle controller/motor. I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this suffering has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or correspondingly it seems. I've been dealing in the manner of this in the past July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 era more.My daddy owns an sc400 and its been essentially good to him.. I'm having a hard time not mammal biting in the manner of this purchase. I reach quality gone its a fine car though. Motor sounds delectable and is super mild taking into account management right.
in the manner of I begin the car, the engine surges going on between 1200 and 2000 rpm back up and forth. I changed the IAC and the TPS similar to no fine-tune in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this same issue. Prior to this I would have to acclimatize the idle eagerness screw to subjugate the rpm and it would withhold for a while. Now, the engine is at all times surging to the tapering off where I cannot drive it for alarm bell of damage to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
