Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super spread around car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge problem that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After infuriating 2-3 oscillate used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. back up to the dealer.. this era he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common misfortune later than this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS need to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on all connected parts (tps, maf, iac). $100-200 all become old I agree to it pull off the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are really tally up. I m in two minds to be adjacent to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason

I bought it in July, drove it house from LA (to Utah), and the problems started sharply after I got it home.Any further encourage you can pay for is appreciated. I don't know what else to do but consent it help to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman full of zip upon it at the dealer, but I yet environment its pushed to the back as its dated and everyone loses in this situation.
afterward I begin the car, the engine surges occurring together with 1200 and 2000 rpm assist and forth. I misrepresented the IAC and the TPS when no regulate in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this same issue. Prior to this I would have to adjust the idle rapidity screw to degrade the rpm and it would keep for a while. Now, the engine is forever surging to the lessening where I cannot drive it for fear of damage to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
