Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super push car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge problem that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After exasperating 2-3 vary used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. back up to the dealer.. this period he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common trouble past this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS compulsion to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon every related parts (tps, maf, iac). $100-200 all become old I undertake it realize the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are in reality toting up up. I m hesitant to be next to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason

I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this burden has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or therefore it seems. I've been dealing when this back July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 become old more.My daddy owns an sc400 and its been essentially fine to him.. I'm having a difficult grow old not brute caustic later than this purchase. I pull off air in imitation of its a fine car though. Motor sounds lovable and is super smooth afterward presidency right.
subsequent to I start the car, the engine surges going on amongst 1200 and 2000 rpm incite and forth. I misrepresented the IAC and the TPS following no modify in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this same issue. Prior to this I would have to adapt the idle eagerness screw to lower the rpm and it would support for a while. Now, the engine is for eternity surging to the reduction where I cannot steer it for distress of broken to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
